  • Tomato paste (2 Tbsp)
  • Canned Mexican style crushed tomatoes3 (400g / 14oz)
  • Canned chilli beansGF (mild, medium or hot) (400g / 14oz)

 

PANTRY STAPLES

  • Butter (1 Tbsp)
  • Olive oil (2 Tbsp)
  • MayonnaiseGF (3 Tbsp)
  • CornflourGF (3 Tbsp)
  • Brown sugar (1 tsp)
  • Beef stock cubesGF (2)
  • Chicken stock powderGF (1 tsp)
  • Ground cumin (2 tsp)
  • Dried oregano (2 tsp)
  • Paprika (2 tsp)
  • Garlic powder (1 tsp)
  • Salt and pepper

1 You could use 250g / 8.8oz middle bacon instead.

2 Alternatives: fish, chicken tenderloins, boneless chicken thighs.

3 If you can’t find these, use regular crushed tomatoes.

GF Gluten-free swaps: Choose a slaw with gluten-free dressing or discard the dressing. Use gluten-free soft tacos and your favourite gluten-free pasta. Make sure chilli beans, mayonnaise, cornflour, stock cubes and stock powder are gluten-free.
