  • Apple cider vinegar (1 tsp)
  • Balsamic vinegar (1 Tbsp)
  • Dijon mustard (3 tsp)
  • Tomato relishGF (4 Tbsp)
  • Honey5 (1 tsp)

  • Brown sugar (1 Tbsp)
  • Plain flourGF (110g / 3.9oz)
  • Baking powderGF (1 tsp)
  • Vegetable stock cubeGF (1)
  • Garam masala (2 tsp)

1 Can be replaced with a small red onion.

2 Prawns or diced lamb also work well.

3 Haloumi can be swapped for 100g / 3.5oz feta cheese.

4 Dairy free butter chicken: use coconut cream and olive oil instead.

5 Brown sugar can replace honey and regular sugar if needed.

GF Gluten-free swaps: Ensure bacon/ham is gluten free. Omit naan bread. Use your favourite gluten-free spaghetti. Make sure relish is gluten-free and use gluten-free plain flour and baking powder. Choose gluten-free stock cubes.
