1 Can be swapped for 1 large red onion.
2 Try chicken tenderloins, salmon fillets or tempeh instead.
3 Pre-cooked Singapore or hokkien noodles will work too.
4 Dried seaweed snack packs are a good option.
5 Fish sauce can be replaced with soy sauce.
GF Gluten-free swaps: Choose gluten-free sausages and tofu. Use gluten-free bread / panko breadcrumbs. Use gluten-free rice noodles and make sure mirin and miso are gluten-free. Choose gluten-free chicken stock, soy sauce, fish sauce and stock cube.
