A week of your favourite recipes! This week’s menu is a compilation of some of the most popular meals from the Y.U.M recipe collection. Creamy butter chicken is first on the list. It isn’t the most authentic of curries but always goes down a treat in our household. Second on this week’s menu is an easy veggie slice. So simple and a guaranteed winner with the whole family. Finish the week with vegetarian spaghetti bolognese. Haloumi adds a nice twist and really ups the yum factor!
RECOMMENDED ORDER OF MEALS (for best variety and use of fresh ingredients): Butter Chicken • Easy Veggie Slice • Vegetarian Spaghetti Bolognese.
BEST OVERALL WINE MATCH (if you only want to buy one bottle for the 3 meals!): A Pinot Gris would be a safe bet.
OTHER NOTES: On this occasion, I've replaced the rocket in the easy veggie slice recipe with baby kale or spinach, to better optimise this menu. If capsicums are too expensive, it's no issue to leave this out. Creamy mustard pork and creamy tomato soup are both delicious ways to use up any leftover cream. Also, this week's menu should technically feature a fish recipe rather than vegetarian (sorry!), but I couldn't find one that worked with the other recipes. There's a new one coming next week!
