As we enter the last month of winter in New Zealand, we're making the most of delicious comfort foods. Leek and potato soup with cheese and garlic quick bread is a satisfying vegetarian meal, and putting the effort into baking the homemade bread is definitely worth it! For a mild, rich and nourishing curry (one of the best comfort foods), chicken korma should definitely hit the spot. Finish off the week with loaded Mexican fries - a super yummy alternative to nachos.
MENU TIPS
RECOMMENDED ORDER OF MEALS (for best variety):
Leek and Potato Soup • Chicken Korma Curry • Loaded Mexican Fries.

BEST OVERALL WINE MATCH (if you only want to buy one bottle for the 3 meals!):
I would choose a Pinot Gris.

OTHER NOTES:
You may have some silverbeet leftover after cooking the soup and the curry (it's often sold in 500g bunches). You could up the veggie content in the loaded Mexican fries by finely chopping the silverbeet you have left and adding it to the mince when you add the carrot.
