MENU 101

YOUR ULTIMATE MENU 101   |  13th APRIL 2020

This week’s menu features recipes using longer shelf-life ingredients (or ones that can be frozen) and basic pantry staples. Combine it with one of the other menus so you only have to do a fortnightly shop.

First on the menu is chicken pot pie. With a luxuriously creamy filling and crispy pastry top, it’s guaranteed to make you feel warm and cosy inside. Next up are chickpea fritters. They’re crisp and lightly spiced, served with an easy carrot salad. Finish the week with black pepper beef. It has a mouth-wateringly good sauce and is a great match with veggie fried rice.

MENU TIPS
RECOMMENDED ORDER OF MEALS (for best variety and use of fresh ingredients):
Chicken Pot Pie • Chickpea Fritters • Black Pepper Beef.

BEST OVERALL WINE MATCH (if you only want to buy one bottle for the 3 meals!):
A Gewürztraminer.

OTHER NOTES:
This menu uses less fresh produce and more longer shelf life items or ingredients that can be frozen. I've designed it to pair with Menu 100, so that you only need to do a fortnightly shop - perfect for a time when we're trying to minimise our trips to the supermarket.
